Position Title: Electrical Operations and Maintenance Engineer

Location: Cornwall

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000

Contract Type: Full-Time

Role Summary
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Operations & Maintenance Engineer to join our growing team in Cornwall. This hands-on role is key to ensuring the continued performance, efficiency, and safety of asset-managed renewable energy installations across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Perform planned and reactive maintenance on commercial PV systems
  2. Monitor and review system performance via online platforms on a rota basis, including weekend coverage
  3. Diagnose, record, and respond to system faults and performance issues using a proactive, problem-solving approach
  4. Provide technical feedback and insight to enhance ongoing site performance
  5. Complete daily job reports and maintain accurate records of work completed

Essential Requirements

  1. Minimum 2 years' experience working on commercial PV systems
  2. Methodical, accurate, and process-driven mindset
  3. Strong communication and organisational skills
  4. Proficient with IT systems and software tools
  5. Full UK driving licence
  6. Willingness to travel and flexibility to work across the UK, including evenings and weekends

Desired Skills & Qualifications

  1. Training with inverter manufacturers
  2. CAD experience
  3. Experience in communications setup and configuration (e.g., remote monitoring systems)
